What is the recruitment process for employers?

If you are a business owner and looking to employ more staff, you will have to go through a recruitment process in order to find the right candidate.  This can be quite time consuming but the more thorough you are, the more likely you are to find the right person for your company.

Not all companies use the same methods for recruiting staff. Some choose to advertise it themselves and carry out the recruiting process in house where as others chose to outsource the recruiting to an agency. Using a recruitment agency is going to cost more upfront but it can take a lot of the stress out of the process and can cut down on time that other staff members have to spend analysing CV’s and interviewing.

Most recruitment agencies will look at all applicants first and even conduct a mini interview over the phone to see if they are suitable. They will check through their CV and check what experience they have that may be useful. If they feel that they have the right skill set for the job then they will contact their client and ask if they would like to invite them in for an interview.
