Some people say not to be picky when it comes to applying for and accepting job offers. If you need to find work quickly and have financial obligations then it may be the case that you need to accept anything that is offered to you. If you are in this situation, it does not mean that you cannot carry out searching for and applying for other jobs in the meantime.
If you have a little more time to find a job then I would recommend spending some time researching the position and often more importantly the company that you will be working for. The same role job can be very different in another company due to the way the business is ran and the management etc. An interview is not just for them to learn about you but also a good time for you to learn about them and ask any questions that you may have.
